In-text Citations in APA Format
The in-text citation method means the writer documents the source of any borrowed information immediately as it appears， right in the text of the paper. When using APA format，we follow the author-date method of in-text citation. This means that the author's last name and the year of publication for the source should appear in the text. e.g.， （Zimmerman， 2001），and a complete reference should appear in the reference list at the end of the paper. If the author is named in the text， cite only the year in the parenthesis. To cite a paraphrased or summarized source in text， give the author's last name and year of publication in parentheses.If a direct quote is used， the writer's exact words should be put in quotation marks and include a page number in addition to the author's last name and year of publication. More examples：
（1） Identity is not fixed but shifting and multiple， and it is constantly established and reestablished throughout the processes of your interacting with other people and encountering with the world （Cameron， 2001）.
（2） Chapelle （1997） claims that we should ground CALL in instructed second language acquisition theories and other areas of applied linguistics such as discourse analysis.
（3） Holec （1981， p.3） defines "autonomy" as "the ability to take charge of one's own learning."
Citing two authors
If a work has two authors， both names must be cited every time the reference appears in text. Use the word "and" between the authors' names within the text and use the ampersand （&）in the parentheses.
e.g. Within the text： Taylor and Gitsaki （2003） indicate that...
In the parentheses： （Taylor & Gitsaki， 2003）
Citing three to five authors
If a work has three to five authors， list all the authors in parentheses the first time the source is cited.
