《新时代主题大学英语进阶快速阅读2（第二版）》是“新时代主题大学英语系列教材”《新时代主题大学英语视听说教程 2》《新时代主题大学英语综合教程 2》的配套用书。本书分为两个部分。第一部分为“快速阅读方法与技巧攻略”，介绍快速阅读的意义和要求、方法和技巧等。第二部分为快速阅读训练，分为8个单元，每单元包含3篇约800~1000词的文章。旨在从理论和实践两方面指导学生通过对快读阅读理论的深入研究，并通过教材中大量实例的具体分析，逐步掌握快速阅读的方法与技巧，迅速提高快速阅读技能和阅读理解水平。本次修订计划在原教材的基础上替换时效性不强的篇章，代之以体现新时代特点的最新与中国优秀传统文化、习近平治国理政和党的二十大相关的篇章，并更好的通过芸窗阅读平台，促进学生不断提高自主学习能力和获取知识的能力。
胡艳玲，山东师范大学外国语学院原教学院长，课程与教学论（英语）学科学位点负责人，教授，硕士生导师；山东省大学外语本科教育指导委员会委员，山东省大学外语教学专业委员会副会长；山东师范大学教授委员会委员，山东师范大学教学督导委员会委员。主持山东省一流本科课程和山东省研究生教育优质课程两门。主编出版国家规划教材5部，主持完成山东省社会科学规划研究项目1项，山东省研究生教育创新计划项目3项，教育部产学协同育人项目1项等；获得山东省社会科学优秀成果三等奖和山东省高等学校优秀科研成果三等奖2次、山东师范大学教育教学成果一等奖2次、二等奖2次与三等奖1次。获得山东师范大学“十佳优秀教师”、“十大青年教学能手”、“优秀研究生导师”、“教书育人优秀硕士研究生导师”、“三八红旗手”、“杰出青年”以及“师德先进个人”等称号。
